Altai Investigative Committee Reviews Barnaul Flood Video and Related Incidents

The Investigative Committee of the Altai Territory is examining a video circulating on social networks that shows a girl being carried toward a highway by a swift current of water in Barnaul. This information comes from TASS, citing the regional office.

Authorities say a preliminary check is underway to understand all aspects of the incident. The investigation will consider every detail, and a procedural decision will be issued to the agency based on the findings of the audit.

Earlier, witnesses shared footage online showing a boy attempting to cross a road being swept toward the road by a powerful water surge. The vehicle passed by before the youngster reached the roadway. Reports indicate that three young people in a nearby parking area rescued the child as the water carried him.

Another clip captured a driver who filmed from a flooded car in Sochi. A father and daughter were trapped inside a VAZ-2107 on Donskaya Street, unable to exit until the water subsided. During the ordeal, the driver filmed the scene with the hope that a passing bus or other vehicle might create an opening for the family to escape.
