Alleged Assault at a Paris Ritz Spa Reported by BFMTV
A claim emerged from Paris where a young woman alleged she was raped during a massage at a hotel spa. The report was carried by BFMTV, a French news outlet.
The incident, dated in January, centers on a 26-year-old woman who contacted police after receiving a massage at the Ritz Paris spa, located on Place Vendôme. The authorities and hotel management have described the events as occurring on January 6, and they have begun a formal investigation into the matter.
According to the complainant, the massage session included inappropriate contact when the therapist touched her chest and proceeded to commit acts of sexual violence while she was lying on her back. Following the incident, the client left the hotel, spoke with friends and family about what had happened, and then filed a report with the police.
At the time the assault allegedly took place, the individual accused of misconduct had already been removed from the Ritz Paris. The hotel stated that the safety of its guests and staff is of the utmost importance, and it asserted that an ongoing investigation is in progress to determine the facts and accountability.
