An investigation into a police report from Şti. National Police centers on a young couple in Alicante who were assaulted when three intruders broke into their home wielding blades. The assailants robbed them of 600 euros and threatened them with a knife. The initial arrest involved all three attackers, and a few days later two of the victims were detained after investigators learned the occupants were connected to drug dealing.

Authorities at the couple’s residence discovered small quantities of hashish and marijuana along with a bottle of alcohol and other items. A substance known as lean or purple drank, which originates in the United States, was noted for its health risks. This pink beverage is created by mixing cough syrup containing codeine with soft drinks, sugar, or alcohol.

In Spain, cases involving this beverage have already appeared among youths, sometimes found in bottles. The typical effects include a mood lift and relaxation, but consuming large amounts can lead to dizziness, slowed reflexes, reduced appetite, stomach discomfort, dilated pupils, and in extreme situations fainting. Information about this beverage has been summarized in public sources.
