The Valencian Institute of Finance (IVF) is set to launch a new office in September, located within the Digital Zone in Alicante. This move aligns with a commitment to decentralization while strengthening support for the province’s business community. A 6 million euro line will back startups, entrepreneurship, and digitalization initiatives across the Alicante region.

The plan was outlined at a meeting hosted at the Consell headquarters in Alicante. Attendees included Arcadi Spain, the Minister of Finance and Economic Model; Manuel Illueca, IVF’s director; and Antonio Rodes, the general manager of the Community Thematic Projects Association Valenciana (SPTCV).

Minister Spain noted that IVF will provide financing of up to 70 million euros for local companies in the first half of the year. Amid rising interest rates and market uncertainties, the IVF aims to bolster the area’s economic fabric more decisively by establishing the new office in the Digital Zone facilities. He emphasized that decentralization translates into stronger, faster support for one of the region’s key economic engines, namely Alicante.

The office, which will begin operations in September, will initially be staffed by a single person, with plans to expand as needed to meet demand.

Antonio Rodes highlighted the strategic value of locating the office in the Digital Zone and the potential it holds to revitalize Ciudad de la Luz. The initiative is positioned to support the broader business ecosystem—especially the development of audiovisual production companies in the area.
