Starting Tuesday, December 5, a practical guide unveils 35 restaurants across the Alicante province, chosen to showcase the rich and diverse gastronomic scene. The return of Menjars de la Terra highlights the most popular culinary days in the region, presenting a curated snapshot of Alicante’s dining landscape and hundreds of cherished recipes from the area.

The 92-page publication includes a foreword by eight Michelin-starred restaurants in the province and offers more than roadmaps. It provides detailed profiles of each business, including career highlights, the type of cuisine they specialize in, and the standout dishes that guests frequently request.

Recognition

This edition of INFORMACIÓN seeks to honor the 35 participating restaurants for their engagement in the Menjars de la Terra initiative. The project, conceived to support the local restaurant sector after the pandemic years, received early and sustained backing from the Alicante Provincial Council.

The magazine is a practical guide featuring 35 restaurants and 100 recipes. INFORMATION

The project was first revealed in 2021 during the opening of a showcase organized by the Mediterranean Foundation and the Carmencita Chair at the University of Alicante, which memorializes the journalist, gastronome, and writer Antonio González Pomata (1926-1996).

Information and Tastes

Información embraced the idea of participating in the tribute and revived the legendary gastronomic days of the 1980s and 1990s to honor Alicante’s culinary scene across borders. The aim was to bring local flavors to enthusiasts beyond the region, ensuring that the distinctive tastes and culinary storytelling associated with Pomata’s era received wider recognition.

The magazine will be available at newsstands for 2.50 euros, starting Tuesday, December 5.

The publication is set to be introduced at a gala at the INFORMACIÓN Club on Monday, December 4, gathering a broad representation of the national restaurant industry.
