Alicante Drug Trafficking Bust at Nightlife Venue

Earlier this Sunday morning, Alicante authorities carried out a significant operation at an entertainment venue that stays open in the morning. Four individuals, aged 28 to 48, were arrested on charges related to trafficking various drugs. Authorities also issued more than twenty sanctions for possession or consumption of narcotics during the incident.

Responding to a routine public-safety initiative, officers from the Citizen Security Groups, who monitor the city around the clock to deter crime, joined forces with teams from the Alicante Provincial Police Station. Their objective was to ensure safe leisure experiences while reinforcing a strong security presence in public spaces associated with nightlife and entertainment.

Investigators entered the venue early on Sunday and requested the lights be switched on and the music lowered so they could observe the layout. It was then confirmed that a black table near the music booth contained traces of illegal substances, notably cocaine.

The search extended to the disc jockey booth, where several backpacks were found containing varying quantities of cocaine, amphetamine, cannabis, ecstasy, and other drugs likely intended for distribution at the party.

In addition to these discoveries, officers conducted a preliminary check of individuals in the vicinity and uncovered larger quantities of narcotics: more than twenty doses of cocaine and nearly 300 euros in small, assorted bills. Three people were arrested on drug-trafficking charges, and a wardrobe manager was later detained after authorities discovered a small safe hidden behind stacked floors. The safe contained a scale, four bags of cocaine, another bag of hashish, more than 320 euros in cash, and nine mobile phones.

The Citizen Security Brigade documented over twenty additional sanctions against those detained for possession and consumption of narcotics. The seized items and the manner in which they were packaged were consistent with the charges and the materials described by investigators.
