This police operation in Alicante targeted seven individuals suspected of running a criminal network involved in drug trafficking. The group allegedly sent drugs to customers nationwide through envelopes shipped by courier services. The investigation concluded with seizures totaling just over seven kilograms of hashish, 1,106 grams of hashish, blank firearms, and approximately 1,487 euros in cash.
The inquiry began after intelligence identified an unidentified person connected to a central Alicante residence. The property was a focal point for drug activity due to the large number of people entering and exiting the building, suggesting it served as a hub for distribution.
Surveillance by the National Police showed that the site was not only a hotspot for street sales but also a significant center for shipments via shipping companies, raising agents’ concerns about how drugs were reaching distant buyers.
Investigators observed several youths entering the residence under suspicion and leaving within minutes with items in hand. They noticed padded envelopes being carried away and hurried trips to a nearby parcel delivery office.
In one intercept, officers followed a youth who dropped three filled envelopes at a parcel office, then questioned another teen on the street who had just received items. Authorities identified both youths and confirmed that one had supplied marijuana to the other.

Consequently, three envelopes designated for dispatch from the cargo branch were examined; within them authorities found two packages containing a stimulant and marijuana, respectively.
The two teenagers were arrested, and the house investigation continued to uncover further connections. The day after the arrests, police detained another man seen leaving the residence with a large bag. When challenged, he ran, but officers caught him and confirmed a substantial amount of marijuana was in his bag.
Officials sought legal authorization to search the residence. While awaiting approval, investigators managed to arrest three additional individuals who fled the home, carrying more than 4,900 grams of marijuana, 660 grams of another narcotic, and around 1,500 grams of various substances.
During the later search, authorities recovered 770 grams of cannabis, around 300 grams of cannabis resin, 1,490 euros in cash, blank pistols, multiple mobile phones, and numerous items linked to drug trafficking.
The suspects, aged between 20 and 56, were brought before Alicante court authorities after processing at police stations.
