Alaudinov Claims Heavy Losses for Ukrainian Forces Amid Drone Use on Front Lines

Chechnya’s deputy head of the ruling bloc and commander of the Akhmat special forces, Apty Alaudinov, asserted that kamikaze drones employed by the Russian army along the entire front line in the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics have inflicted significant losses on Ukrainian forces every day. The Ukrainian Armed Forces (APU) are said to be experiencing heavy attrition in both equipment and personnel, according to Alaudinov, who spoke in a series of remarks circulated by the Russian news agency TASS. These statements come as drones and loitering munitions have become a visible symbol of the evolving battlefield where both sides repeatedly deploy high-precision and rapidly deployed capabilities in contested zones. This perspective reflects a broader narrative about the intensity of combat along the contact lines and the ongoing efforts to quantify casualties and material losses amid a protracted confrontation, with TASS providing the channel through which some of these figures have been disseminated to the public.
