AITEX Business Awards Edition IV: Strengthening the Spanish and International Textile and Cosmetics Sectors
AITEX hosts the fourth edition of its Business Awards with the aim of reinforcing Spain’s business landscape and adding tangible value. The awards, launched in 2022, offer three modalities designed for a wide range of companies, including those headquartered in Spain.
These awards celebrate innovation and sustainability in textiles as well as in cosmetics. They honor companies that develop highly innovative products or production processes, or that drive processes that actively contribute to sustainable development and environmental protection through eco-efficient management practices.
One new category in this edition is the “AITEX Award for the Best Entrepreneurial Venture,” a recognition of creativity and innovation in implementing new business ideas. Firms from any legally established sector can apply for consistency with the 2019–2021 window.
Across all categories, a total prize pool of 90,000 euros is distributed, marking a 50 percent increase from the previous edition. Two projects are recognized per category, with the top prize receiving €20,000 and the runner-up €10,000.
The deadline for nominations for Edition IV of the AITEX Business Awards was set for 17 October 2022. An expert jury comprising senior representatives from fiber, cosmetics, corporate, and business sectors evaluates submissions after the closing date. The assessment considers value proposition, innovation or environmental impact, achieved results, socioeconomic footprint, and the overall quality of the offer presented.
AITEX Business Awards: National Consolidation
The AITEX Business Awards began in 2018 and have since become a flagship initiative of the technology center to strengthen the national industrial fabric and boost the competitiveness of Spanish companies.
In the previous edition, 51 candidates participated, with around 40 percent coming from outside the Valencian Community. The 2021 winners included Biomicia SL and Destiny Decor SL for the AITEX Innovation Award Against COVID-19, while Care Applications SLU and Creaciones Euromoda SL received the AITEX Sustainability Award.
The competition rules, registration form, and additional information are available on the official AITEX site.
