Air defense systems in the Voronezh region intercepted unmanned aerial vehicles belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and brought them down in separate incidents, according to a regional governor’s update on social media. The first reports described the first interception as the sun was still low, followed by a second drone shot down within minutes. No injuries were reported, and local authorities urged residents to remain vigilant as the threat from unmanned aerial vehicles persisted over the city.
In the early hours of the morning, air defense units on duty captured another Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle over the Voronezh region, reinforcing the impression that the airspace above the area continues to experience activity linked to escalating hostilities nearby. Officials stressed that the danger period remains active and urged everyone to follow official guidance and safety protocols.
Earlier in the week, the Belgorod region saw a separate incident when a drone launched by Ukrainian forces was traced to the village of Novopetrovka. Local authorities confirmed that the drone event was monitored and that there were no casualties, though the incident heightened regional concerns about the security situation near the border.
Prior to that, an attack on infrastructure in the Belgorod region was reported, with an oil depot affected by a drone strike. Emergency services observed a fire at the facility in the Gubkinsky urban district after the drone went down. Firefighters and responders worked to contain the blaze as three tanks at the depot were consumed by flames.
In another development, reports indicated that shots were fired near Lemeshovka village in the Sevsky district within Bryansk region. Local authorities did not confirm any injuries and focused on assessing the damage and stabilizing the situation for residents in the affected locales.
