Starovoit noted that protective measures in the Kursk region operated effectively through the incident. He urged residents to stay calm and outlined safety steps in the event that debris from unmanned aerial vehicles is discovered on the ground.
He advised the public not to touch or approach any debris and to report sightings by calling a regional emergency line. The governor reinforced that timely information from the public helps responders coordinate clearance and safety efforts.
Officials from the Ministry of Defense stated that four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down over the Kursk and Belgorod regions during the nighttime. They described the drones as aircraft-type UAVs used in the attack and confirmed that air defense systems identified and neutralized the threats in time.
The authorities also reported damage in other areas connected to the same flare of activity, noting that windows and facades of several homes were affected in a village as a result of the strikes.
