The notices indicated that the siren sounded in these areas between 4:43 and 4:46 a.m. Kyiv time, underscoring a period of heightened security alerts during those early morning hours.
Earlier, Kiev reported an explosion and a fire in the Lesy brushland area, which contributed to the ongoing assessment of threats in the capital region.
Meanwhile, the air force indicated a potential drone threat targeting the Kharkiv region, and air defense units were actively operating in Uman, within Cherkasy region, as a precautionary measure.
There were prior reports of explosions in Odessa, adding to a sequence of disruptive incidents in various coastal and inland zones.
In another development, the EU’s top diplomat arrived in Odessa during a period marked by significant wartime strain. He spoke from a backdrop that included the Transfiguration Cathedral, a landmark heavily affected by the conflict, and he highlighted Europe’s continued support for Ukraine through diplomatic and economic channels.
Toward the end of August, the envoy proposed the creation of a dedicated fund intended to sustain Ukraine’s efforts through 2027, spanning security, humanitarian, and reconstruction initiatives.
