Aeroflot is planning a noticeable expansion of its summer schedule, boosting the number of flights from a broader set of Russian cities to the resort city of Sochi. In the peak season, the airline intends to operate more than 30 flights each day, a move that reflects the strong traveler interest in Sochi as a sun-drenched destination during the warmer months. This ramp-up is part of a carefully coordinated effort to meet rising demand while ensuring reliable, convenient connections for passengers across the country. The overall strategy centers on maximizing aircraft utilization during the busy summer period and giving travelers more options for convenient departures and arrivals around Sochi.

From June 1, Aeroflot will offer up to 20 daily flights on the Moscow to Sochi route, reinforcing the capital city’s role as a primary gateway to the Black Sea coast. In addition, there will be a limit of up to two daily flights from St. Petersburg to Sochi, balancing capacity with seasonal demand. These schedules are designed to provide consistent service while allowing for peak-off peak balance, helping passengers plan trips with greater confidence and flexibility during the summer window.

The airline will maintain daily operations from Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, Perm, Samara, Ufa and Chelyabinsk to Sochi, ensuring robust regional connectivity. In parallel, the fleet will fly from Novosibirsk up to three times per week and from Tyumen up to four times per week, expanding access to the popular seaside destination for travelers in the communities served by these cities. This extended schedule supports business and leisure travel alike, offering more departure options and better alignment with local travel patterns throughout the summer.

Rossiya, a carrier within the Aeroflot Group, will also increase its summer flight activity, reinforcing the group’s coordinated approach to serving Sochi and other popular routes. In particular, Rossiya will operate five daily flights from St. Petersburg to Sochi and maintain two daily flights to Krasnoyarsk, delivering additional capacity on routes that see steady demand during holiday periods. The collaboration across the group ensures a seamless customer experience, with shared resources and synchronized timetables that reduce transfer times and improve overall travel convenience.

The decision to broaden flight numbers to Sochi throughout the peak travel season is driven by the destination’s enduring appeal during school holidays and the longer beach season. As families, friends, and business travelers flock to the coast, ticket demand rises sharply, and Aeroflot and its partners respond by increasing service levels. This approach aims to deliver reliable access to one of Russia’s most cherished seaside destinations, support regional economies that benefit from holiday travel, and provide travelers with practical, predictable options when planning their summer journeys to Sochi.
