A 62-year-old man was taken into custody in Moscow after allegedly attacking two individuals, according to law enforcement officials. The incident has been reported by the district attorney’s office as part of the ongoing investigation.
Investigators describe that on the night of September 30, the Russian man was in the same apartment with two acquaintances, aged 39 and 45. A verbal dispute erupted among them, escalating quickly into a confrontation.
During the confrontation, the man accused of involvement in the criminal case allegedly seized a knife and carried out a violent assault inside the building. It is reported that one person was struck multiple times in the chest and back of the head, while the other received several blows to the neck region.
At a court hearing, the defendant objected to the selection of preventive detention as the measure of restraint. The publication notes that the court nonetheless ordered detention for the suspect, though it does not specify the duration of custody at this stage.
The report also mentions a prior incident in the Moscow region in which an individual brought a knife to a school, reflecting another security-related event in the area.
