An 83-year-old woman is currently recovering at Elda General Hospital after a fall that occurred last Saturday around 6:15 p.m. The incident happened at her home and she remained at the location until emergency teams arrived. The CICU alerted a doctor on site, and the doctor advised that the patient’s family should receive guidance on performing cardiac massage if needed. The patient’s family, including her grandson who had basic CPR knowledge, acted under the telephone direction of the coordinating physician. He began resuscitation efforts on his grandmother while awaiting the arrival of the first aid team. Following stabilization, the patient was transported by ambulance to Elda General Hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment for a suspected cardiac event.
