State Duma warns US not to supply Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine

Crimean deputy of the State Duma, member of the Security Committee, Mikhail Sheremet, called on American officials to refrain from supplying long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, otherwise they will become a priority target for destruction. His words lead the way RIA Novosti.

The parliamentarian warned that preemptive strikes would not allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) to direct American missiles into Russian territory.

Sheremet added that the countries arming Ukraine should understand that Russia is ready and capable of defending and protecting its own security, and that every aggressive action and provocation will be followed by a devastating reaction to the enemy.

Tomahawk missiles are one of the United States’ most powerful weapons and are used by the Navy, including its submarine fleet. Approximate analogues are the Kalibr missiles of the Russian Armed Forces.
