Russians are 84% more likely to purchase art supplies for their children compared to July 2021. This is evidenced by the data of the Ozone market, the version is at the disposal of socialbites.ca.
According to research, origami has become one of the most popular hobbies – in July, sales of sets in Ozone increased by 3.1 times compared to the same period last year. The market also began to order goods for applications more often: in July, sales of cardboard increased by 2.7 times, children’s scissors – 2.2 times, colored paper – 2.1 times.
Also, parents began to buy more and more watercolors, gouache and albums for children, screens and projectors for drawing are increasingly in demand. Demand for modeling dough (88%), plasticine (58%) and polymer clay (55%) increased, with quilling sets sold 90% more than in July 2021.
This year, parents spend a little less money on children’s hobbies than in the past – this is due to the expansion of the product range and the increase in the volume of supply in the market. Thus, the average check for modeling goods fell by 5% to 565 rubles, for drawing goods by 7% to 649 rubles. Painting and painting accessories will cost an average of 550 rubles, which is almost the same as the 2021 price tag.
