A quarter of Russians (24%) prefer to spend their free time at home. This is shown by a study on the DDX Fitness network of fitness clubs and the Teamo dating application, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.
Most often Russians spend their free time at home; 24% spend their time cleaning, sleeping, cooking, watching movies and reading books. Slightly less – 23% try to spend time outdoors if the weather permits. Just over 12% prefer active recreation; At least they go on mini trips in their own city or region. Russians also prefer to spend their free time with friends and family (9% each) at lectures, museums and exhibitions, as well as at the dacha and in the fitness room (7% each) and take photos in beautiful places. More than 75% of survey respondents participate in hobby-related activities. 10% stated sports club as a hobby. Depending on the season, 9% of respondents go to festivals in the summer and exhibitions in the winter, 6% try not to miss meetings useful for development – conferences, seminars, lectures, meetings with interesting people.
As for new acquaintances, 34% rarely meet and mostly communicate with “old” friends. 26% are constantly meeting new people at work or school and also through online dating services. Almost the same share (25%) said they rarely do this. 11% of respondents describe themselves as introverts who prefer not to interact with people, 2% constantly meet new people in fitness clubs, 1% study and work remotely, so they do not have the opportunity to often communicate with people in real life.
34% even meet new people while traveling, but not as often as they would like. 25% of survey participants said they do this often because you can always find new friends in a new place. 20% said it was difficult to make new acquaintances due to their own isolation. 16% usually travel with friends and family, so they don’t feel the need to actively get to know someone, but 6% knowingly meet in new places.
