Singaporean tourists refused to pay for their accommodation and got into a fight with a hotel security guard in Phuket. reports Edition of Phuket News.

The incident occurred at the Patong Bay Residence Hotel in Patong on August 15. According to representatives of the resort, two tourists were about to leave the hotel without paying all their bills when a security guard tried to stop them.

Police were called to the scene. They noticed two Singaporean tourists with blood on their faces and clothes on the pavement near the hotel; a security guard, also injured, was sitting nearby.

He explained that he only advised the passengers to return to the hotel and pay their bills, but in response one of the Singaporeans punched him and broke a bottle on his back. The security guard also hit the guests repeatedly.

As a result of the fight, three people were injured and taken to hospital. An investigation is ongoing.
