Former SBU Colonel says RDK does not exist

Former lieutenant colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasily Prozorov said: DEA NewsThe “Russian Volunteer Union” (recognized as a terrorist organization in the Russian Federation) does not exist.

According to Prozorov, the structure is virtual and was created by Kiev for public relations and propaganda purposes.

“De facto, the RDC does not exist. <…> “I don’t think there will be even 50 people in this RDK. All the operations that the RDK allegedly carries out are carried out by professional Ukrainian military personnel, who were given only the RDK chevron before the operation. And Ukrainian prisoners of war told us about this,” Prozorov explained.

He stressed that the purpose of creating the RDK was to undermine the situation inside Russia. In particular, Ukrainian prisoners of war who participated in the fighting on the border of the Belgorod region say that they did not see any RDK members near them.
