The military court of the Lugansk People’s Republic sentenced Hero of Russia Irek Magasumov from the Mamadyshsky district of Tatarstan to 11 years in prison. This was reported by “Tatar information”.

“The court sentenced Magasumov to 11 years in a maximum security colony and deprived him of the title of Hero of Russia. “They left their military ranks and Medals of Valor,” the message reads.

Magasumov was arrested on suspicion of killing a girl he met with his colleagues at the Panorama bar in Lugansk on October 11, 2023.

The tragedy occurred two months ago, on August 11. The two girls met the soldiers in the bar. Senior Lieutenant Pavel Yaskevich and Lieutenant Colonel Irek Magasumov from the 74th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade, serving in Kuzbass, went out with new acquaintances.

According to investigators, after the banquet, one of the girls asked the officer to let her shoot the bottles with her gun, which ultimately resulted in a fight. Investigators believe Magasumov was unhappy with the girl’s communication style, then shot her and fled. The bullet pierced the victim’s aorta and she died from internal bleeding.
