According to Irina Podnosova, digitalization, which allows citizens to interact with courts remotely, is an important trend in legal proceedings.
“A number of opportunities provided by modern technologies contribute to raising standards of judicial independence and the rule of law – for example, automatic distribution of cases and mandatory audio recording,” said the President of the Supreme Court of Russia.
He said that courts’ compliance with the principles of justice and humanism and increased legal protection of both victims and defendants are indispensable conditions for the development of modern legal orders.
According to the head of the Russian Armed Forces, the logical outcome of the forum will be an exchange of views on harmonization of the legislation of the BRICS member states.
