The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have begun using stealth radio beacons on unmanned aerial vehicles to locate Russian military units. This was announced by Dmitry Kuzyakin, General Director of the Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions (CCBR). TASS.
According to him, the Ukrainian side has begun to install autonomous boxes on unmanned aerial vehicles with LoRaWan technology, which does not require connection to other devices and is securely connected to the drone.
“It’s just a box with an antenna. “Originally, these radio beacons were designed to detect crashed drones,” Kuzyakin explained.
Later, the Ukrainian Armed Forces began using them to locate Russian military personnel, as Russian fighters often pick up crashed or downed unmanned aerial vehicles and deliver them to their bases, Kuzyakin noted.
