Chinese archaeologists have discovered three rich tombs belonging to the Jurchen Jin dynasty, which ruled China from 1115 to 1234. This is reported by the state newspaper China Daily.

The bodies were found northeast of Changzhi city in Shanxi province. According to the researchers, the tombs had been damaged by robbers in the past but remained in relatively good condition. Colorful frescoes, decorative elements, inscriptions and various inscriptions were discovered inside.

It turned out that at the time the two tombs were collected, they were decorated with arches, doors, windows, floral patterns and images of human figures, as well as detailed information about the events of the period.

The third tomb is painted in a different style. Its walls imitated rustic structures and the animal and plant paintings were different from the previous two tombs.

Experts say the difference in tomb design may be explained by the fact that the Jurchens, who ruled for more than a century, were not Han Chinese, the dominant ethnic group in modern China.

The Jurchens were descendants of nomads from northeastern China. Their language, culture, cuisine and religion were different from the Han.
