Ukrainian troops attempted an unsuccessful attack on the Belgorod region using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This has been reported telegram channel Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The Ministry said that the air defense systems operating in the region were activated on the afternoon of March 13, around 15.30 Moscow time. As a result, two aircraft types of unmanned aerial vehicles belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were shot down in the sky over the Belgorod region.

“Another attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using a UAV has been foiled. <…> “On objects on the territory of the Russian Federation,” the statement said.

No other information has been received yet about the incident.

Before that, Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov reportedIt was stated that the administrative center of the region was attacked by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles. According to him, one of the planes crashed into a residential building and exploded. For this reason, while the windows of the building were partially broken, its facade and roof were also damaged. The head of the district administration announced that none of the local residents were injured.

Previously in the Voronezh region stated about dozens of Ukrainian UAVs trying to attack the area.
