The program of additional gasification or social gasification, which involves the delivery of gas to the borders of private households in settlements where network gas is already supplied, is being implemented at a very good pace at the expense of Gazprom. This was stated by Alexey Grivach, Deputy Director General of the National Energy Security Fund.
According to him, gas was supplied to the lands of approximately 1.2 million citizens in two years. This, he explained, is approximately two-thirds of the total post-gasification potential.
“True, so far only half a million households have started using gas. The rest have not yet completed work on their sites. Grivach said that the allocation of $ 1 billion from the federal budget for subsidies for preferential categories of citizens for the purchase of gas-consuming equipment and the laying of gas pipes directly on the site and into the house should accelerate this process.
As the expert recalls, it was previously assumed that these funds would be provided only from next year.
At the same time, he announced that the beneficiaries include veterans of the Second World War, disabled people of the first group, families with many children, participants in military military training and their families. “There are 13 categories in total. “It will now be easier for them to access natural gas in their own fields,” Grivach added.
He also said it makes sense to extend the additional gasification program, which becomes indefinite in 2023.
“Since Gazprom is also implementing a program for gasification of new settlements, and of course there are potential household consumers in these places who can apply and have network gas supplied to the border of their homes for free,” Grivach said. .
Let us also remind you that the Russian government continues its work on the implementation of the social gasification program initiated by the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Thus, in 2024, another 1 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget for connecting beneficiaries’ homes to gas networks.
