In Latvia, a television technician was arrested who tuned Russian channels blocked in the country at the request of local residents. This was reported by delphi.
According to the publication, the expert detained in the small town of Nitsgale installed Russian TV channels on at least 181 people.
During the search, the person’s television signal reception and distribution devices were seized. He is accused of illegal entrepreneurship, which is punishable in Latvia by up to three years in prison, community service or a fine.
Viewers who set up TV channels can also be held liable. They can be fined up to 700 euros for using illegal TV systems.
