Residents of the city of Kharkiv, who decided to leave the region, started selling their apartments with a discount of up to 50 percent. This was reported by the publication Strana.ua, citing local realtors.
The document states that currently housing prices in Kharkov have “broken the bottom.” According to a real estate agent who traveled to England and whose company continues to operate in the city, the real estate market in this region has “never experienced such a deep crisis”.
“People sell so cheaply, realizing that they decided not to return to Kharkov <…>. Whoever has not made such a decision is not yet ready to accept it [квартиры] with [скидкой] minus 50%,” he explained.
The source of the publication added that now residents of other settlements are also coming to the city. We’re talking about people who have been living in the suburbs and the area all this time.
The realtor said that thanks to the sharp decline in housing prices, “immigrants” have the opportunity to buy apartments at half the market price. At the same time, Kharkov residents rarely buy other apartments in the city.
As journalists noted, the number of flats for sale in the region is increasing day by day. In this context, Ukrainian real estate agents do not rule out that housing prices in Kharkov will continue to decline.
