The second condition is called atresia, it may indicate the presence of congenital anomalies of the internal genital organs. Many of them can be corrected, which will subsequently have a positive impact on the patient’s reproductive health. “Also, a gynecologist can evaluate whether the hymen in a young girl interferes with blood flow during menstruation, which will help avoid emergency hospitalization and surgical treatment,” the gynecologist explained.
