Images of the landslide that occurred on the railway tracks near the village of Dagomys, not far from Sochi, have emerged. Video published by Telegram channel “Sochi emergency”.

“People stranded at Dagomys were asked to leave the train; two buses were waiting outside,” a train passenger told reporters.

On the morning of January 5, it was reported that an emergency warning was issued in Sochi due to heavy rains and the expected increase in water levels in rivers. The Ministry of Emergency Situations also warned that there is an increased risk of small mudflows in the mountainous region. The Ministry recommended that people who find themselves in the flood zone during the flood should collect the necessary documents, valuables, medicines, food and other necessary things.
