Almost half of working Russians were earning money on the side

Almost half (46%) of employed Russians previously worked part-time, and 22% currently do so. This is shown by a study of the services Rabota.ru and Podrabotka, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.

32% of Russians have never taken on a side job: these include 38% of women and 24% of men. At the same time, just over half (51%) of those surveyed were working part-time in their field of expertise.

52% of respondents want their part-time job to be their main job. Moreover, 28% count on it in the future, and for 24% additional employment has already become their main occupation. 48% do not want to change their profession.

One in three Russians (33%) see demand for the services provided, so they are considering the option of replacing their main profession with a part-time specialty.

31% of participants find side work more enjoyable; The same number of participants appreciate having the opportunity to choose the time and customers they interact with.

21% of survey participants stated that a part-time job allows them to earn more than their main job. 16% don’t like their main job so will turn it into a part-time job. 12% of survey participants chose other options.
