A survey conducted by VTsIOM showed that more than two-thirds (69%) of Russians are familiar with the idea that in a leap year people are more likely to encounter various difficulties and troubles. writes about this RIA News.

Additionally, some respondents are familiar with the signs associated with a leap year: 3% believe that natural disasters are possible, and 2% believe that it is impossible to start repairs, construction or relocation. The majority of respondents (36%) had not heard of such signs, and 13% had difficulty answering the question.

The survey was conducted by VTsIOM-Sputnik on January 21, 2024, using a random telephone interview method among 1,600 Russians over 18 years of age. There is a 95% probability that the sampling error does not exceed 2.5%.
