Kyrgyzstan’s law enforcement officers stopped a riot by prisoners in a correctional colony. This was reported by REN TV Regarding the prison service under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic.
It was recorded that a group of 50-60 prisoners, armed with piercing and cutting tools, opposed the colony staff.
The rebellion was suppressed. 22 phones and 140 prohibited items were found among the detainees and they were confiscated. The main rebels were isolated.
The investigation continues. Currently, the institution operates as usual.

This was the request of Deputy Director of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia Alexander Khabarov. It was decided to close the communication “in order to prevent the convicts from taking illegal actions.”
