World2Meet, controlled by the Iberostar Group of the Fluxá family, includes tour operators (Newblue, Icarion or Kannak), travel agencies (Azumarino, which has just integrated Viajes Eroski stores; Grand Azulmarino; The Sphere, Ubico…), airline World2Fly and also companies outside the Iberostar portfolio. and its own hotel division, with which it wants to grow in the coming years.
Last year W2M signed an agreement to manage nine establishments of the Bluebay chain, expanding its portfolio to 13 establishments in the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. “We are very active in the search for new hotels to manage. There are opportunities because there are many independent hotels,” Subías noted. “Assuming direct management is very beneficial to the group’s bed bank.”
