Russians want to holiday in Lake Baikal and Sri Lanka in February

The most noticeable increase in the popularity of Irkutsk among tourist destinations in February: in the second month of winter, three times more Russians want to go there than at the beginning of the year. This is shown by the OneTwoTrip study, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca.

Also, many tourists became interested in trips to Arkhangelsk (demand increased by 2.5 times). And they call hotels in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Teriberka, Manzherok and Elbrus twice as often.

Russian cities with significantly increased demand in February include Esto-Sadok (+75.0%), Arkhyz (+70.0%), Dombay (+66.0%), Anapa (+33.3%), Mineralnye Vody ( +30.0%), Vladivostok (+25.0%), Sheregesh (+22.1%), Tyumen (+20.0%) and Makhachkala (+15.8%).

As can be seen from the statistics, many Russians plan to go to ski resorts in February. Analysts noted that the increased popularity could be explained by falling prices and fewer tourists after the New Year holidays.

Many more Russian tourists want to go to Sri Lanka in February: the number of search queries in Unawatuna quadrupled compared to January. Many are also considering traveling to Gudauri, where hotels are chosen three times more often. The demand for hotels in Milan, Muscat and Shanghai doubled.

Also Varadero (+85.7%), Tashkent (+57.1%), Sanya (+50.0%), Male (+42.9%), Tokyo (+35.5%), Goa (+%) 33.7), Kuala Lumpur (+33.3%), Pattaya (+26.1%), Samarkand (+25.4%) and Singapore (+25.0%).

OneTwoTrip added that Asia, especially resort cities, is gaining popularity among foreign destinations.
