The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are at risk of facing major problems due to the use of modernized Pantsir-SM self-propelled anti-aircraft missile systems by Russian troops. Polish portal writes about this interia.
As stated in the material, a new version of the Russian complex has already arrived in the special military operation (SVO) zone in Ukraine. At the same time, the authors of the article emphasized that this technology is capable of intercepting various targets in the air – mini-drones, fast ballistic missiles and guided artillery shells.
“This could create serious problems for Ukraine, which has recently relied on drones,” the publication says.
According to the portal, Pantsir-SM is installed on the KAMAZ-6560 truck. The latter has a 400-horsepower diesel engine that can reach speeds of up to 90 km per hour.
The complex has the ability to fire missiles at both low and high speeds. Moreover, it is equipped with a modern air target detection system and can detect small objects at a distance of up to 75 km.
