The incident occurred on December 20, according to the publication. On this day, the opening of the city’s Christmas tree took place in the main square, and there was a horse harnessed to a sleigh that carried people around.
After the fireworks display, the horse acted aggressively and rushed towards the people attending the celebration. As a result, two people were injured – a 67-year-old woman suffered a fractured left femoral neck and an eight-year-old girl suffered a traumatic brain injury and concussion.
The publication reports that law enforcement has now launched a preliminary investigation into the incident. A forensic medical examination was requested.
