Borja Prado’s resignation as president of Mediaset España is now official. The director submitted his resignation from his position as president and board member at the audiovisual group’s meeting held this morning. It will be valid as of next December 31st.
Prado was appointed director of Mediaset España in 2004, which coincided with the listing of this company, first in the independent category and later in the proprietary category.
On April 20, 2022, he was appointed president of Mediaset España, succeeding Mr. Alejandro Echevarría, and successfully led the company through the takeover process, spin-off and subsequent merger with the group’s parent company, MFE-MEDIAFOREUROPE. last May. After this, he continued to serve as president of Grupo Audiovisual.
All this, in Prado’s words, “represents the culmination of a long period of service to the Mediaset Group, to whom I have always provided my assistance, defense and cooperation since my appointment as director more than 23 years ago.”
The Board of Directors thanked Borja Prado for “the time, dedication and support he has always provided and the invaluable contributions he has made to the company over all these years.”
