A quadcopter of the Far Eastern Separate Guards Air Force unit shot down a Ukrainian Baba Yaga type hexacopter near Artemovsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut). This was reported by RIA News Referring to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the ministry, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) uses agricultural unmanned aerial vehicles to drop large-caliber mines.
It was noted that the UAV operator, after conducting aerial reconnaissance, noticed a Ukrainian attack hexacopter returning to the location of the Ukrainian Armed Forces after dropping a mine.
“The Russian UAV operator decided to shoot down a hexacopter belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. “After gaining altitude, the UAV entered a suitable orbit and hit an enemy UAV that fell into our area from above,” he explained.
A group of paratroopers retrieved the device and delivered it to the site for study.
Before that, military personnel of the Central Military District (“Central” troop group) said The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has significantly increased the use of FPV unmanned aerial vehicles in the Krasnolimansk direction, RIA Novosti said.
