He started his journalism career at the newspapers El Norte de Castilla, Radio Juventud and Cadena COPE. He served as News Director of Radio Nacional de España. He participated in the launch of Los Desayunos de TVE, where he was president of the National Information Area and editor-in-chief of News News. He worked as a presenter at Antena 3 TV, deputy news director and news director at CNN+. One of the giants of the communications world who has conducted more than 4,000 interviews with figures such as Rockefeller, the Dalai Lama or Mother Teresa of Calcutta, among others; For more than a decade, she hosted the talk show Cara a Cara, which aired on CNN+. He served as director of corporate communications at SELAE (State Lottery and Betting Society) and also at AENA, where he was part of the management committee. He won three Ondas awards and three Gold Antennas.
In 2010, he was awarded the Salvador de Madariaga European Journalism Prize.
Author of The Happiness of Small Things (2011) and Today I Wouldn’t Change Me for Anyone (2014).
He is a founding academic of the Spanish Academy of Television Sciences and Arts, a member of the Association of Communications Directors and a founding member of the Association of European Journalists. Since 2015 he has been collaborating with a weekly column in El Norte de Castilla and is a political analyst and member of various media outlets.
