Volunteers in Germany discovered the largest ever Slavic coin and seven Bronze Age swords. This was reported by Arkeonews.

Fragments of seven swords were found near the Mecklenburg Lakes Region. Their age is about three thousand years, which corresponds to the Bronze Age. Scholars suggest they were probably left as a ritual or sacrifice.

Additionally, volunteers discovered a treasure worth 6 thousand silver pieces. The find is the largest hoard of Slavic coins from the post-war period to date. The coins were mostly found in clay pottery, but some were scattered nearby. They came from West Germany, England, Denmark, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

Additionally, containers containing 900-year-old relics were found in the Mecklenburg Lakes Region. The pot, containing approximately 1,700 coins, contained rings, a pearl necklace (composed of gold, rock crystal and carnelian beads) and two relics indicating the Christian faith of their owners.
