Gibbs said he was always active. He often played golf, bowling, tennis, hockey and also rode his bike. It is stated that the centenarian was a member of Patterson River Golf Club until the age of 86, and then joined another golf club. Gibbs believes exercise is essential for everyone.
Additionally, being with friends and family contributes to a long life. Gibbs says spending time with young people helps keep your mind sharp. The centenarian sees reading books as another way to maintain mental clarity.
Gibbs adheres to a healthy diet in addition to an active lifestyle and high levels of social activity, but he hasn’t specified what he means by that. Many other centenarians choose to eat plenty of fiber and carbohydrates from vegetables and whole grains.
