A number of unmanned systems designed to shoot down thermobaric and incendiary munitions are being developed in the interests of the radiation, chemical and biological defense troops (RCBZ) of the Russian Armed Forces. The newspaper writes about this “News”Quoting sources in the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to what has been reported, we are talking about multicopter unmanned systems as well as aircraft-type drones. All drones will be equipped with special bombs as well as modified anti-personnel flamethrowers that can strike in flight.

According to sources, some of the products are already at a high level of readiness and will be sent to RCBZ troops for trial operation in the near future.

Chemical weapons expert Oleg Zheltonozhko told the publication that thermobaric munitions are more lethal than high-explosive munitions in a given area.

According to him, this ammunition works on the principle of detonating a gaseous explosive cloud that spreads over a certain area before exploding.

“It can be used to defeat objects such as defensive strongpoints, trenches, and bunkers. If a high-explosive ammunition affects a certain point, thermobaric ammunition covers the entire area at the same time. The shock wave affects a good area both in area and in depth: it affects the trench parapet, its base, the pillbox and communication passages,” said Zheltonozhko.

Before reportedHe said that units of the Russian Armed Forces began to use new mobile ammunition “Scalpel” in a special military operation (SVO) zone.

Previously Russian captain named The most useful types of weapons in the Northern Military District area.
