Serdyukov confirmed as CSTO Chief of Joint Staff

Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov has been confirmed as Chief of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). This was stated in a published message. Web site organizations.

“On November 23, 2023, a session of the CSTO Collective Security Council was held in Minsk. In the statement made by the organization, it was stated that Colonel General Andrey Nikolayevich Serdyukov was approved as Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff.

Presidents of Russia Vladimir Putin, Kazakhstan – Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyzstan – Sadyr Japarov, Tajikistan – Emomali Rahmon attended the CSTO Council meeting. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, who will head the CSTO in 2023, received his colleagues. Armenia not attending the summit denied. He also did not participate in the council of heads of defense ministries of CSTO countries.

Previously, Vladimir Putin replaced the Ataman of the All-Russian Cossack Association. For this position appointed Vitaly Kuznetsov.
