The main cause of spinal herniation is excessive strain on the internal organs, most often the lower back. Rehabilitation doctor Nikolai Mavrichev, founder of the Academy of Practical Naturopathy, told socialbites.ca.

“A hernia is when a part of the internal organs protrudes beyond the boundaries of the space it normally occupies. Muscles are attached to the vertebrae, so when compressed they begin to put pressure on the bones. The vertebrae move closer together and can damage the intervertebral disc. The disc “comes under pressure” and causes herniations, protrusions, and other problems due to distortion of body geometry. “Symptoms include a characteristic pain that can be uncomfortable or dull,” he explained.

Tension can be caused by various factors, including, for example, disruption of the functioning of internal organs.

“When the kidneys, gastrointestinal system or other internal organs cannot perform their functions, the muscles in the waist area become extremely stressed. “For example, due to sand in the kidneys: blood circulation is disrupted, followed by urination and hernia,” the doctor added.

A hernia also often occurs when muscle tone is impaired as a result of heavy lifting or physical trauma.

“Intra-abdominal pressure changes and causes disease. In other words, improper use of the body is the sure way to hernia formation. Muscles are tightened and tone is formed. So you buy a bag from the store, and the muscles, which are already a little tense, eventually shrink and deform the internal organs,” explained the expert.

Additionally, the woman’s body not being fully prepared for pregnancy may cause the disease to occur.

“The child puts pressure on the internal organs and his muscles become extremely tense. The muscles of the musculoskeletal system need to be trained in advance so that they can cope with the task and not cause a hernia when body weight increases,” Mavrichev suggested.

The doctor said that you can self-diagnose a hernia based on several symptoms: sharp pain when the person stands up; pain spreads to the limbs; numbness, severe tingling in the limbs.

It was before was created Patch against herniated intervertebral discs.
