During magnetic storms, it is better for weather-dependent people to measure blood pressure twice a day, do not violate the regimen of taking prescribed medications, and replace sports training with restorative activities and walks. This was reported by RIA News Andrey Tyazhelnikov, chief freelance specialist in primary healthcare of the Moscow Ministry of Health.
As the doctor warns, during periods of magnetic storms the likelihood of a sharp increase or decrease in blood pressure and heart rhythm disturbances increases. He noted that people dependent on the weather should use medication, if necessary, to alleviate exacerbations of chronic diseases that may occur due to weather changes.
Tyazhelnikov recommended spending more time outdoors, breathing fresh air, getting enough sleep and not forgetting to ventilate the space.
As the doctor explains, those who are especially susceptible to magnetic storms are people suffering from pathologies of the heart and blood vessels, with a tendency to both increase and decrease blood pressure, as well as people with chronic diseases.
He recommends seeking immediate medical attention for any concerning symptoms.
Before that scientists reportedHe said a new magnetic storm is expected between November 22 and 26.
