General Director of Rosoboronexport Alexander Mikheev said that the company, together with Indian enterprises, is discussing the creation of aviation weapons production for the Indian Air Force. He talked about it at Dubai Airshow 2023. RIA News.
According to Mikheev, work is being done with Indian private and public organizations on the organization of joint production of aviation weapons and their integration with the existing aviation fleet in India.
Director General of Rosoboronexport emphasized that the Russian side is not afraid of the strict requirements of its Indian counterparts on product imports, as well as the requirements that India imposes on its partners in military-technical cooperation within the framework of Make In India. Mikheev noted that Rosoboronexport was operating under conditions similar to the requirements of the Make In India program long before it was adopted. Rosoboronexport general manager emphasized that there is now a factory producing Kalashnikov AK-203 assault rifles in India and that it will be fully localized at a certain stage.
