Rosneft presented the investment project of the oil and gas industry “Vostok Oil” to visitors of the international exhibition and forum “Russia”, the press service of Rosneft reported.
The presentation took place as part of the opening of the thematic Days of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The event was attended by Rosneft Oil Company Vice President and Chief Geologist Andrey Polyakov and Krasnoyarsk Territory Governor Mikhail Kotyukov.
Vostok Oil is the world’s largest new oil production project of Rosneft Company. The resource base is 6.5 billion tons of oil. This assessment is confirmed by the results of large-scale geological surveys, detailed reports of world-class experts and international auditors,” Polyakov said.
The oil from the Vostok Oil project is unique in its composition: it is a light, low-sulfur oil of premium quality with a sulfur content of 0.01% to 0.1%.
At least 50 new icebreakers and transport fleets will be needed to organize the export of raw materials along the NSR. The construction of marine equipment will be provided by the modern Zvezda shipbuilding complex, created by a consortium led by Rosneft in the Primorsky Territory.
According to industry experts, the implementation of the Vostok Oil project will increase the country’s annual GDP by 2%.
As part of the Days of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, folklore groups will perform at the Rosneft pavilion from 6 to 9 November. There will also be demonstrations of Evenki national costumes, master classes on beading and creating national Evenki jewelry, playing the national musical instrument Jew’s harp, interactive games and thematic quizzes, and local history lessons.
International exhibition and forum “Russia” opened at VDNKh on November 4 and will last until April 12, 2024. All 89 regions of Russia, 21 ministries, 19 companies and organizations, as well as public organizations presented their exhibitions.
