It is proposed to approve a new holiday in Russia – the Day of Participants in the Special Military Operation in Ukraine. State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov put forward this initiative. He sent the relevant proposal to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. transmits RT with a link to a copy of the objection.
According to Milonov, the new holiday will contribute to the patriotic education of the country’s residents and will serve as a tribute to the memory of the military who took part in the special operation. He cited Internationalist Warrior Day and professional holidays of military units as examples.
The deputy reminded that great efforts are made to protect the rights of military personnel in Russia. “SVO participants and their family members feel supported by the state, which is sensitive to any difficulties and challenges that arise,” Milonov said in his speech.
Previously Russian President Vladimir Putin was instructed to provide Disabled SVO participants with rehabilitation facilities.
Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov statedHe said that the priorities in creating the Russian budget for the next three years are support for participants of the Northern Military District and the state’s defense capability.
