A Florida couple has been charged with drug possession after their child overdosed on cocaine. About this on social networks said county sheriff’s office.

On October 29, an ambulance was called to a home in Bonita Springs. A 14-month-old boy needed medical attention after his parents said he swallowed several oxycodone pills and lost consciousness. Doctors took the victim to the hospital and diagnosed him with a cocaine overdose.

Upon examination, it was determined that the blue pills the child’s father kept in his wallet contained drugs. The victim was able to get to them because he had a bag of drugs on the nightstand. The child’s condition is currently stable. His family was accused of “child neglect” and drug possession.

“We must protect those who cannot protect themselves. “Thank God, the kid will be okay,” the county sheriff concluded.

A three-year-old boy had previously taken birth control pills and was taken to intensive care.
